Ka lani Massage Specialists -- “A heavenly experience”
Relaxation / Pain management / Performance
GREENLAND – Ka lani Massage Specialists is an innovative massage therapy facility. This business is located in Greenland, New Hampshire (RT 33) just 1 minute off I-95 exit 3 in Portsmouth.
Next to Tractor supply, Aroma Joes, Seacoast Children`s Dentistry, Soulfire Yoga and Max Charles Salon.
Owners, Mary Kelly Lavallee and Brian Lavallee announced the highly-anticipated opening of Ka lani Massage Specialists at the beginning of January 2017. Ka lani, at over 2000 sq. ft. and with multiple treatment rooms, was built from the ground up, which aided them in being able to offer many unique features that will greatly enhance the overall experience of their clients.
“When we started planning this location, we wanted to focus on assembling a great team of therapists and designing the clinic around them. Our therapists strive for excellence through continued education and certifications in various subtypes of massage therapy. This enables Ka lani to offer customized massages for a wide range of clients. We strongly believe happy, appreciated, and well compensated employees translates into an all-around great experience for our clients and therapists alike," says Lavallee.
We looked at many different locations before finding this one, a couple of key points in our decision process, which really stood out to us, were how convenient it would be for our clients, with the easy access off of I-95 (exit 3 Portsmouth) and the great synergy we would have with the other tenants in this plaza, Soulfire Power Yoga, Max Charles Salon and Seacoast Children`s dentistry.
“We also wanted to design a facility which would enhance the overall experience, our vision was to construct a space which showcased the multiple benefits of massage, along with having all the amenities our clients would expect. This being a brand new building made it possible for us to include many unique aspects.”
Ka lani only uses the highest quality massage oils, lotions, and cremes. All of which are handcrafted with only the finest USDA certified organic ingredients (vegan). Their clients leave the table feeling like their skin has just been moisturized without feeling greasy. Their massage tables are of the highest quality, powered to lower for easier access, side lying support system, back lift support and face cradles designed for comfort. Computer software for client consultations, online booking, rehabilitation packages, sports event packages, discounted (no risk) auto pay for convenience, hot stone massage, a great couple's massage room and much more.
One unique aspect that sets Ka lani apart from others is their “stress therapy.” The owners haven't “marketed” this feature wanting to keep the message and spotlight on their talented therapists. But with all the overwhelmingly positive feedback and compliments they've been receiving, they decided to give it a mention. This consists of high definition 4K screens built into the walls (which are constructed to look like windows) in all of the massage rooms, streaming fixed angle scenes of tranquil locations such as ocean waves rolling up on a tropical beach or a mountain stream gently cascading, etc. This has been quite a hit.
Mary Kelly Lavallee became a licensed massage therapist in 2010. She furthered her education by becoming certified in orthopedic massage and medical massage.
Orthopedic Massage Therapy describes a system, rather than a single technique, that involves therapeutic assessment, manipulation and movement of soft tissues to resolve pain and dysfunction. OM focuses on restoring structural balance throughout the body for both prevention and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal dysfunctions. Orthopedic massage works to address the cause of the pain, whether it’s from injury or postural imbalances to help facilitate the healing process to strengthen, and prevent reoccurrence.
Kelly added, “Everyone can benefit from massage therapy. Our mission is to make everyone feel comfortable and enjoy their experience with us. Some benefits include improving range of motion, providing relief from muscle tension - pain management, injury recovery, relief from sports, and activity related soft tissue dysfunction. Our focus is on creating a unique, positive and professional atmosphere.
Brian said, “For years my thoughts of massage was something people did as a form of pampering until Kelly was educated as a therapist and I started receiving massage regularly. I was pleasantly surprised to find out how a good therapists can find issues (with me a sore back) work the problem area and make you feel so much better……and then to feel a little pampered at the same time just makes it that much better.”
Ka lani offers massage in a variety of styles - Swedish, Deep Tissue, Orthopedic, Sports, Hot Stone, Prenatal, Postural Assessments, Myofascial Release, A great couples massage room and others. With a mission and an atmosphere that hasn't been done before -- an unparalleled experience.
